DCC suitability unknown
This locomotive started life in 1968 as PRR #6221 and eventually became a PC and then CR unit with the same road number. The C&NW purchased the locomotive and renumbered it in March, 1983. Eventually repainted in C&NW colors, it remained on the C&NW roster until the C&NW merged with the Union Pacific in 1995, seeing occasional service when traffic levels demanded it. The scheme chosen is the last scheme that the SD45s wore: Zito Yellow with a dashed sill stripe.
