LMS 1933 Stanier 57' Suburban Non-Corridor

Designed by William Stanier for use on suburban passenger services in the mid-1930s, a large number of these coaches were produced over various diagrams, covering Composite, Third & Brake Third vehicle types. The Diag.1921 Composite was a genuine Period III diagram and was built between 1933 and 1935 in good numbers and lasted to around 1965. The Third, to Diag.1906, represent a several hundred of such coaches, with many lasting to the mid-1960s. The Diag.1907 Brake Third, of which 91 were built between 1934 and 1935 and lasted until 1965/6.
