The BR Mk1 Covered Carriage Truck (CCT) were a van with end doors initially produced for moving cars or parcel traffic. They were banned from Motorail services in the mid-1960s due to tight clearances inside the van as well as the opening and closing of doors taking too much time and effort for staff members. The vans were instead used for parcels traffic and were replaced in part by GUV (General Utility Vans) and Carflat wagons.
