Corgi OM45306 Bova Ventura modern coach "Durham City Coaches"
Durham City Coaches was started in 1983 by Harry Lightfoot and his son Micheal Lightfoot with one secondhand Volvo coach. Since that time Durham City Coaches have continued to expand and the current fleet stands at 14 vehicles consisting of Volvos and Bovas. Durham City Coaches also operate a highly successful day excursion programme throughout the North-East of England under the Voyager banner and a highly acclaimed tour company, Mayfair Group Travel, specialising in the newspaper reader holiday market.
The coach featured is a Bova FHD 12.370 model equipped with 49 reclining seats, air-conditioning, WC, video, CD player and hot drinks machine and will be used extensively on continental tours. The vehicle is the second Bova in the fleet following the purchase of a similar vehicle in 1999.
