Corgi OM45114 MCW Metrobus Mk2 in "Walsall Corporation" Heritage livery "West Midlands Travel"

On a snowy winter's day in February 1996, the then West Midlands Travel unveiled its fleet of Heritage buses to the delight of enthusiasts and travelling public alike. Eleven MkII Metrobuses were outshopped in the liveries of old municipal fleets in the West Midlands area. Allocated to the appropriate garage, they brought a touch of nostalgia back onto Midland roads. Our final model in this highly collectable series depicts the Walsall Corporation example displaying the town's long-lived plain blue livery with yellow lining which adorned both bus and trolleybus fleets. No. 2888, Reg. No. C888 FON, is a MKII model which lost its MCW grille in favour of the WM logo when painted in 1996. The bus is still running in this livery.
