London General Transport Services Ltd was formed in 1988 in preparation for the privatisation of the London bus network. Initially purchased by its management from London Regional Transport, the Company subsequently became part of the Go-Ahead Group in the summer of 1996. London General currnetly operates over 600 buses from 5 bases in the Capital, the majority of its business being the operation of local bus services on behalf of Transport for London. Delivered during the course of 2002, London General has based all its 52 east Lancs Vyking bodied Volvo B7Ls at Sutton Bus garage. These buses can normally be found on the busy trunk routes 93, 154 and 213 in the South West London area.
