Founded in 1946, this family owned company has gained a reputation for its pioneering design in the field of accessible buses and coaches. Wrightbus vehicles are present in virtually every bus fleet in the Uk, and can be found as far afield as the USA, Australia, Netherlands and Hong kong! The Eclipse Gemini - named for its twin decks - brings futuristic style to the double-deck market. Launched in 2001, the Gemini's head turning looks, low weight, durability, ease of repair, deep one-piece windscreen and modern interior are just some of the features that sets the first ever double-deck vehicle from Wrightbus apart from its competitors. Travel West Midlands has invested £9 million in 60 Gemini Eclipse/Volvo double deck buses. The first 14 were introduced onto TWMs' flagship partnership Showcase route, Line 33, which operates between Birmingham City Centre, Perry Barr and Pheasey Estate. To commemorate the launch, TWM created a new livery which incorporated a 'star' symbol and created a unique horoscope theme for the vehicles and all associated publicity.
