Corgi OM45101 MCW Metrobus Mk1 s/door "Stevensons" - Destination Uttoxeter

"Stevensons" of Uttoxeter MCW Mk1 Metrobus s/door d/deck bus. Stevenson's of Uttoxeter in Staffordshire commenced in 1926 operating out of premises in nearby Spath. This location continued as its headquarters until the companies demise. In the latter years, Stevenson's expanded its routes into the potteries , took over the bus services in Burton-on-Trent and acquired Fox operation. Stevenson's took advantage of early disposals of MCW Metrobuses by Greater Manchester and the West Yorkshire PTE. Fleet number 79 is an ex Manchester vehicle and is sister to GBU 9V that went to London Transport, the subject of an earlier OOC release.
