Product Description
Highland Omnibuses Ltd, part of the state-owned Scottish Bus Group, acquired its first Fords secondhand in 1964. In 1966 it bought it's first new fords, including T10, an R226 model with Plaxton Panorama 52-seat coach body. This was the first new coach to be delivered in the blue and grey livery Highland had adopted for its coaches, and it survived in the fleet until 1980. Over the next few years over 180 Fords joined the Highland fleet; most were buses, but there were further coaches, through T10 was the only one with a Panorama body. The fords, lower cost lightweights, were ideal for the lightly loaded services in the Highlands served by the company
