Known locally as 'Yelloway Buses', Yellow Motor Services Ltd. based in Rochdale, was formed in Nove,ber 1931, out of Holt Bros. (Rochdale) established in 1915. During the 1930's the company consolidated through acquisition and extension of regular express services from the North West of England to Blackpool, London, Torquay and Clacton.
