Founded in 1987, Southampton based Solden Blue Line operates over a hundred buses in Southern Hampshire. The Major trunk routes are now operated with modern low floor d/deck buses, eight Dennis Tridents with E.Lancs Lolyne 74 seat bodywork dating from 1999 and eight Volvo B7TL with E.Lancs Myllenium bodies, again with 74 seats, which entered service in 2001. From the start, Solent Blue Line made a colourfull impression with a bright and breezy livery of two shades of blue and yellow, representing the coastal setting. During 2004, a stylish new colour schem of royal blue with a new style of fleetname was introduced. solent Blue line is part of the Isle Of Wight based Southern vectis Group.
