East Yorkshire Motor Services Ltd is one of the few remaining former NBC subsidiaries which were privatised in the mid eighties which remain independent of the big groups, now running about 350 buses and coaches in Hull, East Yorkshire and Scarborough. Between 1993 and 2002 about a dozen Plaxton Beaver minibuses on Mercedes chassis were bought by EYMS for local services maily in the East Riding where road conditions or passenger numbers dictated the use of small buses. All are in the burgundy and cream colours which became the standard EYMS livery a few years ago.
