Peco are producing a range of new OO9 gauge rolling stock from the Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales. A selection of "Bug Box" and Type 3 Quarryman coaches are in production as well as two brake vans. The range showcases some of the earliest produced coaching stock from the line, dating from the mid-1800s.

'Bug Box' Coaches
Peco have shown painted samples for their forthcoming range of Bug Box coaches. The ‘Victorian’ plum and cream models shwon here are expected later in the year.

Peco have revealed early samples for their new Ffestiniog rolling stock. These are early painted 3D printed models, so aren't fully representative of how the final coaches will look. The Quarryman coaches & brake vans are seen painted in brown and green respectively.

The "Bug Box" stock (aka "Small Birminghams" are small 4-wheeled coaches built by Brown, Marshall & Co and are some of the earliest passenger carrying vehicles on the Ffestiniog line, dating from 1864-67. The Type 3 Quarrymen coaches were built from 1885 to transport quarry workers at Blaneau Ffestiniog, these coaches were an advancement from earlier stock - featuring glazing and closing doors.
