Project Status
Due to lower sales than projected, we have made the difficult decision to suspend the OO gauge Plasser Crane. All development work will be paused and everyone with a pre-order will be notified. We will not cancel any pre-orders at this time but we will not be taking any further orders for these products.
Our Genesis project is still continuing at pace and is still due for release in Q2 2021, it is not affected by this review.
CAD Images
In a first for the industry, we’re offering you the option to download our full initial CAD file for our Plasser crane project (.EASM format) to get the ultimate closer look and allow you to suggest any changes to the model. This early CAD gives an indication as to how the model will look but it’s not final and is subject to further alterations.

Prototype Information |
BR inherited a large collection of rail based cranes when it took over from the ‘Big 4’ companies in 1948. They ranged from small very low capacity hand cranes to large 75 ton steam cranes and everything in between. Track work was also a very labour intensive job, with many men working on a small section of track with the minimum of powered tools to assist them.
