Create a Mini-Scene with rail-going Land Rovers!
With the release of several rail-going Land Rovers from both Oxford Diecast & Golden Valley Hobbies - it's never been easier or more cost-effective to create an intricate small scene for your layout, or a diorama, that creates a huge impact!
The Oxford Diecast Defender 110 features separately fitted details such as a roof ladder and spare tyre on the bonnet. The "rail wheels" of the vehicle are posable, so can be raised for "road mode" or lowered for use on tracks. All four variants of the first batch are now in stock, meaning you can choose a vehicle that suits a variety of eras - from British Rail and Railtrack usage, right up to contemporary operation by Network Rail and Aquarius Rail Technology!
You can also inspire a scene with the Golden Valley Hobbies Land Rover MkII, an experimental military vehicle fitted with semi-permanent rail wheels.
Both models are made of diecast metal, are unmotorised and are designed to sit on OO gauge track. We'd love to see your projects with these vehicles - whether they're just part of a diorama or you decide to attempt to fit working lights or a motor! Why not share your photos in the comments below?
