Following the development of our exclusive LNER Class A3, A4 and teak coaches with Heljan, we are pleased to announce that we are pairing up again to produce another exclusive project in O gauge.
This will be in the form of two Class 20s with disc headcodes, as originally released in 2010.
Heljan's O gauge Class 20 has been a well-regarded and sought after model since it was first released and is set to be a popular locomotive later this year with the arrival of Heljan's revised model with four-character headcode boxes. However, as Class 20s commonly run in pairs, we will be producing two variations with the original Disc Headcode styling to enable you to model your favourite loco and create a perfect pairing.
The Disc Headcode variations will be exclusive to Hatton's and produced in two liveries, with the vibrant 1980s Railfreight Red Stripe livery appearing on Heljan's disc headcode model for the first time. To complement this we have also commissioned a locomotive in the ever-popular BR blue livery but with the updated 1980s warning flashes.
2017 celebrates sixty years of Class 20 operation with the type first entering service in 1957. With examples running in most of the UK through their lives and still being used regularly on the mainline and on preserved railways today, these iconic locos are suitable for a diverse selection of O gauge layouts.
Both releases are limited to 100 models each and can be pre-ordered below for £599 each. Delivery is expected towards the end of 2017.
