A development from previous designs, CB Collet introduced the 61XX in 1931 and until the mid 1950's this deceptively powerful class of locomotive handled heavy suburban traffic in and around London, although in later periods the Prairies also handled freight. This fine Hornby model has superb detail, much of which is individually hand fitted during manufacture and is resplendent in its Great Western livery of the late 20's, early 30's period. Powered by Type 7 motor.
