First Capital (now trading as First London) is a subsidiary of FirstGroup plc, a UK-based international passenger transport group and the UK's largest operator. First capital was the new name given to east-London based Capital Citybus when it was purchased by Firtsgroup on 7th July 1998. Previous owners of Capital Citybus included its management and CNT Holdings Ltd of Hong Kong. TAL937 is one of 22 Alexander ALX 400 bodied Dennis Trident purchased in 1990. They are all based at Dagenham (DM) depot on route 25 (Oxford Circus - Ilford) and N25 (Oxford Circus - Hainault or Harold Hill). The standard choice of new double-deck bus for FirstGroup's London operations is the Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident, so these Alexander bodied examples are quite unusual. They feature the special low-floor livery and the extra wide front blinds which were fiited standard to all fist London low-floor double deckers until June 2001. the "VIA BANK" display differentiates trhe route from the weekend varient which operates "VIA TOWER".
