The Gresley designed locomotive, named after the Everton Football Club, incorporates the number '6' at the beginning of its running number, indicating that the locomotive was formerly owned by the LNER. It is also worthy of note that Mr Frank Hornby, the originator of Hornby trains was MP for Everton from 1931-35. The model is tender powered with pickups on the tender and drive wheels.
