There were five different tender types used across the range of the 9F's, presented in the-ámore characteristic 'weathered colouring' associated with the Class, was partnered with a BR1F tender which had a water capacity of 5.625 gallons and carried seven tons-áof coal. A ringfield motor located in the tender with pickups off eight of the ten drive-áwheels to ensure smooth running at low speeds.
