Class J52 0-6-0ST 68846 in BR black with late crest
DCC incompatible. Split Chassis
The J52 class originated with the Great Northern Railway in 1897. The locomotives were at that time classed as J13's. However, when the GNR was absorbed into the LNER the locomotives were reclassified as J52's, a code that they kept into nationalisation and beyond. The model features sprung buffers and a high degree of separately fitted detail. Chassis is of an SSPP format incorporating a Type 7 motor.
