OO Gauge (1:76 Scale)
Class 5XP 'Patriot' 4-6-0 5539 "E.C.Trench" in LMS crimson lake
Motor fitted but no DCC socket. Ringfield motor
The Patriots evolved from the earlier Claughton class of the LNWR. 'EC Trench' was originally a Claughton No. 5925 but was 'rebuilt' as Patriot No. 5539 in 1933 with the classification of 5XP which was given to all the rebuilds. The Hornby model with fine scale drive wheels incorporates blackened metal parts and multi-wheel pick-ups for smooth running at slow speeds and carries the mid 1930's livery of the LMS. A new model ringfield motor is enclosed in the tender.
