Product Description

This item has a limited edition certificate included.

Delivered in September 1937, Brush Railcoach 636, formerly 299, was sixteenth in a fleet of 20 such cars, which were very similar in appearence to the 1934 English Electric Railcoaches, and indeed shared the same designer, W.L. Marshall. Apart from the different electrical and mechanical equipment, the most stratling difference was the addition of air operated sliding doors, sadly none of which are now in operation. Over the years, these cars have become synonymous with overall advertising designs, and 636 now looks very stately in line 14 Metro Coastlines livery.
