Bristol Omnibus L8550 was one of only eight Bristol Lodekka in the fleet of the largest of the Tilling Companies. Fitted with platform doors for the country services fleet, it was sent new in 1960 to Swindon depot, where it remained throughout its sixteen year life. A familiar sight on the lengthy Swindon-Marlborough-Salisbury service 709 later (470), L8550 also performed a more mundane duty, having been converted to act, when required, as the Driver Training Bus at Swindon Depot.
