"Southdown Motor Services" Bristol/ECW Lodekka FS rear platform double deck bus
BARGAIN
The advent of the Bristol Lodekka in 1949 was a significant step forward in double deck design and represented the final evolution of the front engined bus. Built by Bristol with bodies by eastern Coachworks of Lowestoft, a total of just over 5200 were built of various types until production ceased in 1968. the F series (flat floor) began production in 1959 and our model represents the FS (short) version. On 14th March 1968, the BET Company sold its bus interests to the government who already owned former Tilling Group companies and this led to the formation of the NBC on 1st January 1969. From this date Southdown became a subsidiary company of the NBC and the BH & D fleet was amalgamated under a common general managership. With this amalgamation came 49 Bristol FS Lodekkas dating from 1960-1965. |

"Isle of Man" East Lancs Myllenium
BARGAIN
(C) indicates this product is guaranteed to have a limited edition certificate. The origins of Delaine Buses of Bourne Lincolnshire can be traced back to 1890 when the family introduced horse-drawn vehicles to cater for local people wishing to travel to markets throughout the surrounding area. the first motor-bus was introduced in 1919 and dialy services from Bourne to Peterborough, Stamford, Spalding, Sleaford and Grantham were all establiched bt 1923. Now run by the fifth generation of Delaine-Smith family, the core business is still based around some of these original services, which have been developed and tailored, using a careful blend of tradition and acting on current market demands.
Aptly AD03 OCT is the third Volvo B7TL with an East Lancs Vyking body to enter the fleet in March 2003 and was the first to carry the new format registration plate. Finished in house style which blends all modern requirements with traditional Delaine features including the exterior livery which has remained unchanged since the introduction of Double Deckers in 1948 and wood-veneer interior with red tartan seating edged with maroon edging and piping. |

Listing and advertising policy
General policy
- This website only lists UK-outline models and country-unspecific (i.e. track) products which we have in stock (accurate to the past
12 hours). We never intentionally list items on our site, which are not in
stock. Please bear this in mind when you see all sorts of goodies in other
traders' adverts or websites as they often do not have this policy.
- If an item is not listed on this site, then it is not available for purchase
and immediate despatch at this time.
- Our website at www.ehattons.com displays stock-level information on all
products (accurate to the past 12 hours). This site lists all of our available products, including models of non-UK prototypes.
New Products & "Advance" orders
We are unable to supply accurate information regarding the expected
delivery date of soon-to-be-released products. We are one of the largest model railway & model road vehicle
retailers in the country - and so are always amongst, if not, the first to
receive delivery of brand new releases.
We allow you to place pre-orders for many items - all these listed at our ehattons.com Forthcoming Releases page. We also allow the opportunity to sign up for a "Delivery notification" email, which will be sent when the item arrives into stock, but this doesn't create an obligation to order.
New items appear on our websites at least within a day (often minutes!) of delivery, and in our magazine
advertisements after 3 to 7 weeks.
This site is updated continuously, and reflects current availabilty and prices
