Product Description

In July 1982, Brush Railcoach 633 became 'The World's First Post Office Tram". The idea was part of a campaign by the Royal Mail to encourage holidya makers to send postcards to their friends and family at home. Inside the tram at one end, a couple of seats were removed for a sales counter and a post box. Passengers could buy postcards and stamps on board. Any cards that were posted on board received a special commemorative frank depicting a Brush Car. When in service, 633 operated mostly between Pleasure Beach and North Pier, 633 ran in this guise until 1985.
